Do you shake hands when you meet someone? Or give one another a kiss? Or both? Daily rituals like greeting each other, preparing food or praying, but also special events like marriage or a burial, are different all over the world. In the varied, colourful youth performance Spirit, the International Dance Theatre lets you see, hear and feel how important these rituals are and how they differ but also resemble one another, just like people.  

Spirit is a performance with heart and soul that opens your eyes to exciting rituals from other cultures. Rituals that can give you energy, warmth and strength: The Spirit that binds people all over the world. Dance and music from the present and the past, from far away and from around the corner are melted into a varied performance with, for example, a virtuoso jumping dance from Hungary and Transylvania, Sufi dances from the Dervishes, a spring ritual from the Hindu Kush, ancient martial arts from Southern India and Japanese drums that have been used for centuries to invoke the gods.
