Booking tours and festivals
The International Dance Theatre regularly receives invitations to perform abroad, at festivals and special occasions. If you wish to book a performance of The International Dance Theatre or The International Dance Theatre for Youth, please read the information or contact the marketing department directly.

The International Dance Theatre can compile a performance tailored to your needs, thus providing you with a unique performance of music and dance from the countries of your choice from our repertoire. This repertoire reaches from Mexico to Japan, has been developed over almost 45 years and continues to grow today. We will put together a performance to appeal to your specific audience, whether young or older, and as long or short as you wish.

The International Dance Theatre consists of 20 dancers, accompanied live by its own orchestra of 6 musicians. Instead of accompanying the dancers from the orchestra pit, the musicians are part of the performance on stage.
The International Dance Theatre for Youth is a smaller group of 10 dancers, who perform to audio material on tape.
Both ensembles can perform at various locations, including open air stages. There are, however, requirements concerning the size and depth of the stage, the floor and the facilities.

Examples of recent tours abroad, festivals and special performances:
· In November 2004 The International Dance Theatre performed in Hanoi (Vietnam) for the fifth Asia Europe Meeting Leaders’ Summit. The invitation for this performance came from the Dutch Embassy in Hanoi. The performance contained dances from the European and Asian countries participating in the Summit, including a choreography from host country Vietnam.
· At the request of the Ambassador of Pakistan in the Netherlands, The International Dance Theatre compiled a special performance for Pakistan President Musharraf, while he was in Holland on a state visit. This performance contained music and dance from Pakistan and India.
Wars and natural disasters have destroyed many of Pakistan’s art treasures. This makes the Pakistan choreographies and costumes from The International Dance Theatre even more special, because it helps to preserve a piece of Pakistan culture.
· Biennale de la Danse, Lyon (France). In 2000, The International Dance Theatre performed at the prestigious Biennale de la Danse-international dance festival. During the three weeks of this festival, all forms of dance are shown on fifteen different stages, adding up to over a hundred performances. The International Dance Theatre gave fourteen performances featuring dance material from the countries along the Silk Road, since ‘the Silk Road’ was the theme of the festival in that year.
