ID FRIENDS

The International Dance Theatre needs its faithful supporters, the Friends of the International Dance Theatre, more than ever this season. Not just because we have embarked on a new course, which we would like to tell you about and get you involved with, but also because of the dark clouds hanging over the Dutch cultural landscape due to the present stormy economic climate that make it vital for us all to stick together as much as possible. We therefore have a whole series of extra treats for our Friends in this golden jubilee year. We will be offering various activities in the course of the year, and we hope you will be there to watch, to exchange ideas with us and to celebrate this very special anniversary with us.

As a Friend of the International Dance Theatre, you support the activities of the International Dance Theatre. You will be closely involved with the company, and will receive reduction vouchers and invitations to special events such as try-outs and open days. The minimum donation is € 25 per annum (or € 7 if you are under 18). The financial support we receive from our Friends is used to fund special purchases such as authentic costumes, musical instruments or, more recently, shoes for the dancers. Jubilee production of Purely Barbaric
We are very pleased to invite all Friends of the ID to the pre-premiers of our jubilee performance of Purely Barbaric in the Lucent Dance Theatre in The Hague on 12 December 2011. Doors are open at 7 pm, and you are very welcome as a Friend of the ID to raise a glass of champagne in the theatre with us, to toast the 50th anniversary of the International Dance Theatre. The pre-premiere will be preceded by an introduction written specially for Friends of the International Dance Theatre.

NB: The Friends of the International Dance Theatre reduction vouchers can be used at many theatres throughout the Netherlands - but not all - when buying tickets for performances by the International Dance Theatre. They can also be used to get a reduction on articles bought at the ID shop, and on tickets for Dance in the Doelenzaal.
